Hey! I wasn't sure exactly what to write here so I thought I'd speak from the heart. I am one of the Co-founders of Kokora and my mission was to develop a brand that can help support people strive towards a healthier and more authentic future both mentally & physically, through honesty & authenticity.
During my childhood I experienced (on the surface at least) trauma after my dad passed away to cancer at 7 and my sister being killed in a car accident at 15. While these were tremendously challenging events, and I went through a difficult period for sure, I believe they helped mould me. They helped me build resilience and motivation to a) experience life to its fullest but b) to provide products & content to help people strive for their own unique & individual life journey.
I hope in some way Kokora can help and look forward to hearing from you!
I started my journey as a freelance photographer 4 years ago. At the time I lived in Hawaii and there was constantly something inspiring that I could capture. Upon moving back to the mainland, I found myself in less than creative spaces, so I decided to create my own. I turned our spare bedroom into “my office” a space I originally was only going to use as a place to edit photos and store gear. I started photographing the office and the updates that were taking place. I started posting them to social media and it started to grow. I found those photos were resonating and inspiring others to create their own creative space.
